We are very pleased that you decided to spend your holiday in our hotel. The hotel „Hrádok“ is situated in area with many interesting turistic and geographical places and sights.

The hotel is located on the Hrádok hill, which is a part of the highlights Revúcka vrchovina. Its north-east part belongs to the mountains of Slovenské rudohorie. The Hrádok hill lies 810m above sea level. It is spread between the towns of Jelšava and Štítnik. It is built of typical rocks of the Gelnica area: schistose, sandstone and magnesite. The west side is covered by the dales of Jelšavské podolie and Štítnické podolie.

This area is typical by its mild-cold mountain climate similar to the tops of the mountains of Malé Karpaty, Štiavnické vrchy and Tríbeč. January temperatures fluctuate from -6oC to -4oC, in July it´s between 16-17oC. Yearly rainfalls reach for 800 to 900 mm. Snow covering appears in 100-120 days a year, mainly in January and February. The north edge of the area is covered by wormwood and oak-trees. On higher sites there are spread the woods of oak-trees and conifers such as pines and spruces.
